Once A Sailor:::spring 2009 Hellö everybody!
Oh yes, it´s been a while. I have been living a quiet and
domestic life for the last couple of years. Here in Norway
you can have over 1 year maternity leave and get payed for
it and it has been refreshing. And since I had two kids in
two years, I have been lucky! Nevertheless I have been able
to work with some music projects in between diaper change
and cooking ;o)
I live up north now, in Tromsø, my hometown. Nils Johansen also lives here in we are hanging out and fiddling with new songs and ideas from time to time. Well, mostly we are hanging out.But this spring will we start on a new and exiting project! Cannot say more about this for now.
Bel Canto will have a 40 mins outdoors concert at Stortorget on february the 7th for the students at the University.
As you might now, I am singing on Röyksopp´s new album on three tracks. I have been waiting for sucjh a long time to be able to announce this and most possibly will I also do some live-concerts with them this summer. Cannot wait! I long for the touring life, the sweaty tour bus and the smelling wardrobes and the dirty venues... and teh drunk and waisted audience! I love it! Once a sailor, always a sailor!
And in may I will appear in a theater play up here north in Tromsø on Hologoland Teater,http://www.ht.tr.no/ called "Feberdigte" by Knut Hamsun. In this piece I will act and sing. Geir Jenssen aka Biosphere will make the music and we haven´t worked together since 1990 so I am very, very excited about this project!!
