A-HA
AND ANNELI IN JAPAN
Here's
excerpts from the a-ha tour diary by Ylva

DIARY
ENTRY (09.11.2000)
"On November 5, we landed in Munich to take part in
the live TV show "Millionaer Gesucht" ('Looking for
a Millionaire'). After the intense live rehearsal
schedule for the past few weeks, participating in
a TV show actually felt like a nice and welcome change
(...) This was the first time that the guys performed
'Velvet', and they did a wonderful job. The band was
in a great mood and Anneli looked like a beautiful
angel on the stage (...) If there had been any
doubt about the success of this tour, this first concert
had wiped it all away. Suddenly, everyone became confident
about the German shows later this month, how great
things would look in those really large venues." Read

DIARY
ENTRY (11.11.2000)
"(...)On our way back to the hotel we crossed a Japanese
amusement center - one of the noisiest places I have
ever experienced. We were amazed by the sheer number
of game-machines they do have over here... People
were dancing in front of a TV wall (apparently, the
dancing is according to some pattern, but I was unable
to figure out which one exactly...) or singing at
a karaoke machine, never minding the noise soming
from all the slots and game machines and screens.
Inspired by this, Anneli, Magne, sound
technician Sven Persson and I continued to
a Karaoke bar. We had a lot of fun when Magne discovered
'Take On Me' in the karaoke's jukebox. This was one
that he had to try! And mind you, he delivered a really
great version of it, too. He and Anneli then also
dueted on 'When I fall in love'. Regretably, there
are no pictures of this memorable event..." Read the
