ANNELI
AT BLIKK-PARTY
Another fantastic performance by Anneli last night!
Anneli did a 30 minute acoustic set of her own and
"borrowed" songs to celebrate the re-launche of Blikk's
magazine and 10th anniversary in front of 1500 cheerful
gay and lesbians at Rockefeller Music Hall in Oslo.
Gaysir.no
reports: "When Anneli Drecker entered, the lesbians
gathered around the stage, and no wonder why, what
a lovely girl! She sang herself into many hearts this
evening, both boys and girls." And Blikk.no
declares the event as the biggest gay-party in Norway
ever.
The acoustic set included one completely new track,
which title I didn't catch, but it sure seemed Anneli
is back in the Bel Canto-moode nearly two months
before the Bel Canto "comeback-concert" at
Rockefeller later this winter. She also did a cover
of David Sylvian, and Neil Young's "Wrecking
Ball". It was amazing to hear, and see, how well
her disco track "When The Music Is High" (which
she performed for the first time at the opening of
the Tundra tour in Oslo last year) worked out in the
acoustic setting. She opened the show with "All
I Know", and ended it with "Sexy Love".
Anneli was planning a short acoustic tour this winter,
but because of a thight schedule she have only been
able to appoint a few concerts. You may see her already
tomorrow, Sunday, in a church concert in Volda. And
one show is announced at Jazz Evidence, Kongsberg,
in March. Click on 'tour' in the menue below for an
updated list of tour dates.
