TWO
SPECIAL BEL CANTO PERFORMANCES
This
weekend Bel Canto performed at the closing of this
years ISFiT festival in Trondheim. If you missed it
you'll have the chance to see Anneli and Nils again
at Rockefeller in Oslo this Friday, when they perform
at the launch party for a gay bookclub.
THOMAS
OLSEN
Bel
Canto is the headliner at the launchparty for De Norske
Bokklubbenes new club "Kursiv" - which will
make gay literature more available in Norway. The list
also include the acapella group Cheezy Keys, the up'n
coming artists Mikkel and the band Portasound, as well
as various comedians. Kursiv also promise lots of surprises
during the evening and night.
The event
is open for everyone, sexual orientation and gender
unimportant. But you have to be over 18 years of age.
Covercharge is 200 NOK, or free (!) if you're a member
of the book club. You'll find more information at
Kursiv's
homepage (in Norwegian only).
Bel Canto
had the honour to close The International Student
Festival in Trondheim (ISFiT) on Friday. "We
could see a band that exploits the contrasts, combining
the hard and the soft. Anneli's voice is still light,
comfortable and powerful, while for example the use
of the live bass gives the music a touch of heavyness"
writes ISFiT's reporter after the concert. Read more
and see some photo's from the concert at the festivals
homepage (In English).
